I smile at strangers passing by

Like maybe love will see and try

I give too much, I care too deep

And cry in places no one sees

I hold the world with gentle hands

But wonder who will understand

This aching heart that longs to feel

A touch that makes the silence real

They say I'm kind, they say I shine

But never ask what breaks inside

I laugh, I joke, I keep it light

I'm tired of days that feel the same

Of giving warmth with none to claim

My chest is full of phantom space
