Leaving Is Hard

I trace the cracks along these walls

Every memory echoes in the halls.

This house has held my blood my scars

But the road calls louder than the stars.

Every goodbye burns slow in the chest

A thousand words I never confessed.

I pray the distance won't erase

The fire in your eyes the warmth in your face.
