Last night I wandered into a garden
Where the flowers were made of quiet light
They didn't glow
They breathedsoftly
Like sleeping lanterns dreaming of sunrise
Every petal hummed a little question
I wasn't smart enough to answer
So they answered it for me:
"You don't need to understand beauty
For it to understand you"
I walked along a path carved from moonlit glass
It bent under my weight
Like a polite illusion making space for me
Above a flock of silver paper birds
Folded and unfolded themselves midair
Deciding what shape joy should take tonight
One landed on my shoulder
Whispered a secret:
"Dreams are just truths
You haven't woken up enough to believe"
In these gardens made of quiet light
Your footsteps turn the dark to something bright
A river of soft lavender fog drifted by
Carrying reflections that weren't mine
But somehow felt familiar
One of them winked
A version of me who never worries
About being late or wrong or too much
He said nothing
But the silence felt like encouragement
The sort that sits in your palm
Like a warm stone you forgot to let go of
And the river whispered truths in shades of blue
Reminding me the world is always new
It turns out...
The universe isn't complicated
It's just playful
It hides wisdom in strange places
Glass petals fog rivers impossible birds
Not to confuse us
But to slow us down long enough
To notice we're alive
Eventually dawn crept in
The way shy things do
And the garden folded itself away
Like a secret going back to sleep
But I woke with a gentle certainty:
Even the strangest dreams
Leave breadcrumbs of truth behind
And today
I'll follow them
In these gardens made of quiet light
I found a softer way to hold the night
