Don’t you ever wonder
What lies there
Down in Blackwood Lake
Pack your winter coat
It’s cold there
It’s all that you can take
Down the winding narrows
Arrows line the mountain trail
Holding out a candle
Keep it sheltered
So the light never fails
And soon the ice will melt away
Summer bells colour out the grey
When cloudy skies are broken by the sun
You will find your reflection
For three silent winters it was frozen
In the cradle of the mountains
Like a mirror in the darkness
That never shows it’s face
Now Blackwood lake is calling
Like a mother to a child
A song to raise you from your bed
And therein lies the subterranean
Hiding from your eyes
But soon the ice will melt away
Summer bells colour out the grey
When cloudy skies are broken by the sun
You will find your reflection
