[Intro]
Your imagination can't even fathom the truth
The simple fact that you don't believe this to be true
Should be proof
Do you believe that change comes from a voting booth?
Or that these same chains won't enslave the future's youth?
Don't be too naïve to believe you're protected
Or maybe, being a drone
A lamb
Or a slave
Is something that you've already accepted?
I'll be damned if they give me peanut butter without the jam
As if to say
An education system without any exams
We have a limited flow of life
Due to the restrictions of political dams
We are in a country
Where our votes become suggestions
We are in a country
Where our children get molested
And molesters get arrested
Only to get questioned
We are in a country
Where expressions were once confessions
Have you ever been bowling without any pins?
As if to say
Adopting a religion
Without the ability to sin?
We live in a world sold as a win-win conclusion
But in reality
We are deeply embedded
In a lose-lose illusion
Don't be too naïve to believe you're forgiven
We are in a country
Where pastors become magicians
And we're too consumed
To extract the disposition
There are only uproars
Meant to diminish our suspicion
Hence, ignoring the white noise
Will reveal life's mission
You see
We are in a country
Where nutrition is defected
And we live in a place
Where they infect us with infections
We are in a country
Where physicians become morticians
And pharmaceutical companies
Are erected and accepted
So the natural diet
Has been intercepted and rejected
Yet we're blind to the fact
That we don't need medication
We are in a world
Where the poor get neglected
And the rich are truly free
For they live uncorrected
We live in a world
Where our planet is being affected
Even though we're near
We are all distant
Disconnected
Do you see why imagination
Can't even fathom the truth?
They have us shackled
Chained to our debts
It's no wonder
We can't see past the threats
They'll have us fighting
For gay and gender rights
Long before they shed light
On the real strife
Wait
Does that mean Uncle Sam's a ma'am?
Man
Let's just hurry up and make this world
A genderless, colorless, faithless swirl
Because we all need to focus
And see our worth
We all need to care
For the one that gave us birth
And I speak not of mothers
No
But our planet Earth
