Now, I'd like to know one thing

What's that?

What led you down the avenue of bass?

Well, see, I can't really answer your question

Because you need to be a little bit more claritive

On what you're talking about when you say bass

Well, I just assumed that bass was music from down south

With girls shakin' they butt in the videos

Well, see, bass is a lot more than that, man

Bass goes a lot further

And goes into a lot more detail than that

Oh, really?

You know, I'll see if I can explain it to you

You know, everybody uses bass

You know, you have northern groups that use a lot of bass

You have southern groups that use a lot of bass

And you have west coast groups that use a lot of bass

Well, please, give me an example of a northern group using bass

Well, it's not really needed to give an example right now

Any group that you hear

Whether it's from the north, or the west, or the south

That has any kind of quad in their music

You know, that makes your trunk funk and all that good stuff

You know, that's, that's bass, you know, that's how it is

So, what do you see for the future of bass?

Well, you know, the future of bass, man

Is only gonna get bigger and better

You know, you got a lot of groups

Comin' out that's doin' the, you know

The dance bass-oriented type of music

And that's cool, 'cause it's blowin' it up

And it's helpin' hip-hop and it's helpin' rap, you know

So anything that's gonna be good towards promoting that

Is always beneficial, so I like that

So, to what level are you planning on taking your music?

Well, you know, I don't wanna take my music

To any other level than where it's at right now

You know, I've never been way up at the top

And I'm not on the bottom, you know, I'm right here in the middle

I watch groups come up, I watch groups go down

And I still stay right here in the middle

So that's where I like to reside at

Alright, well, I'm pretty much informed now

But, uh, before we close

Is there anything that you'd like to say to anyone out there?

Yeah, I'd like to tell all my fellow bass heads out there

You know, keep bassin' after midnight

'Cause the city never sleeps, you know what I mean?
