In the desert of Sin
The people they cried
Hungry and weary
With nowhere to hide
They murmured to Moses
We're left here to die
But the Lord heard their whispers
A heavenly sigh
He rained down the manna
Like dew on the ground
In the morning of mercy
The bread was there found
The shadow of things
That were yet to appear
The Bread that brings life
Casting out every fear
Centuries later
The Word became flesh
To feed every soul
And our spirits refresh
From the desert of old
To the hill of the cross
He's the living bread
Given to cover our loss
I am the living bread
Come down from the sky
If you eat of this bread
You shall never die
Not like the fathers
Who fell in the sand
But life everlasting
In the palm of His hand
He rained down the manna
Like dew on the ground
In the morning of mercy
The bread was there found
The shadow of things
That were yet to appear
The Bread that brings life
Casting out every fear
Living Bread
From the desert to the heart
Amen
