I had to let him go, I knew I had no other option

So I soaked it all in, that old silver caddy

That's been the last time that I've seen my granddaddy

Now you can argue that this was just a figment

That I was merely dreaming and he never paid a visit

My mind's logic doesn't know if it is or isn't

But my spirit, well that's a little different

He was as real as the breath I'm putting on the mic now

Came to show me after life after life's out

And death is just a passageway, so be bold and brave
