Alarm up, 8:30 to be exact

With an arm around my lady, I'm hitting the snooze for that

Maybe later, maybe later, the weekend is here now

The warmth of her body and blankets, her love surround

Soft light flutters through the blinds, opens eyes right

I'm wide awake although I'm hazier than twilight

Water pressure solid, hot water is on demand

An in-unit dyer clean towel to clean my hand

Fridge full of food, got plenty of options too

And the technical ability, make whatever I choose

On these hardwood floors, I'm hearing the sound of paws

And a crunch, Wellness brand kibble is in his jaws

My lady on the sofa awaiting a grilled cheese

Butter each side, tomatoes and spinach leaves

Burner on three, two minutes, and then I flip

Coffee brewing up on the island, a loud drip

Caffeine in my cup, my stomach is filled up

Money in my bank, employer provide enough

Car is at the ready, a camera ready to shoot

Hobbies that enrich and entertain, I'm challenged too

I got a family that I'm given and one that I chose

Tally up the balance, I'm winning, and so I suppose, right?
