No Exchange

Driving 3 AM on the highway

I've memorized the way back to my place

Still don't really know why I do this

But it's easier to make up excuses

Like, I'm only really here just for the ride

This isn't a complete waste of my time

I have no expectations, just have fun

But I'm the only one who leaves with nothing left

Why do I feel so invisible?

Body's nothing but a visual

I wish I loved me just a little more

But I can't be alone again tonight

I know it isn't right

I just wanna feel wanted one more time

Why do I try if I'm not really wanted?

Tell myself lies to keep from being honest

That I don't wanna do this, but it's hard to face a truth that I fear

Going again, it all feels so pathetic

Can't get a text without me saying I'm on my way

Then I tell myself again
