Dandelion

I've finally packed the box now

With all the things I'd give to you

My teddy bear so ragged

I know you would hug him too

So many times I've whispered

Your name when drifting off to sleep

So many years of loving

That I've saved for you to keep

Squinting in the sunlight

Toddling 'cross the meadow

The grass would break your fall

Maybe you'd have your daddy's chin

And your mama's blue eyes

Come running when you'd call

We would walk in the forest

I'd teach you the names of all the birds

In our boat we'd go sailing

Exploring magic worlds

We would swim in the river

I'd spin you around you would feel so free

Songs we made up, you and me
