Window

I'm looking through a window

The world outside goes by

I don't know if it is me

The blue of the bright sky

I look outside and wonder

"Do I make a difference at all?"

"I wonder if there's a chance

To be with everything as one"

Then something blows away my thoughts

Now as I walk my way out

Leaving home behind my feet

I don't know where I'm about

So many places I can be

Sometimes I wanna shout loud

Sometimes I only want to cry

Sometimes I want to lie down

While all my thoughts are running wild

They escape the prison of my mind

Unfold the crease in your heart, let me see

Through a windowpane where things are truly free

I'm lost, I'm tired, I forget how to breath

But sometimes I can take joy out of my tears

I know that it's not easy

To look in ways we never looked

Our minds are just too busy

To get what's worth and what it should

I'm looking through a window

To see the world looking at me

I close my eyes and listen

To what the wind is whispering

And then I'll find some inner peace

For all the pain in our heart there's to see

A whole world where all good things are truly free

I'm lost, I'm tired, I forget how to breath

But I'll try to bring some joy out of my tears

If love is all that we need, so to speak

In a world where we are all alone, you see

I look, I stare, I forget - where were we?

There's a room without a window where I live
