You come to me every night

Whenever I close my eyes

We're hanging from the trapeze

Somewhere way up high

I see you moving your lips

But I can't hear you speak

So I reach out for your hand

And then

You're fading in the vapor

Try to run but I can't move

This place it was your sanctum

Now I'm standing here without you

And the lights go down

Another chain of dreams

And again you're not here

Try to break out from this scene

Into a world that's free

Somebody tapping my back

And it made my heart leap

For once I saw your face

Over the land's end

I look on down into the night
