I walked in righteousness, my hands were clean

I feared the Lord in everything

My children blessed, my fields were full

Then in one day, He took it all

They came with news, my world collapsed

My sons, my daughters, nothing left

My body broke, my skin turned black

But still I would not turn my back

I know my Redeemer lives

My friends accused, they said I sinned

Confess your wrong, make peace with Him

But I was innocent, I swear

I cried to heaven, Are You there

I didn't know what heaven saw

The conversation, the cosmic war

I couldn't see beyond my pain

But still I called upon His name

Then from the whirlwind, He appeared

His voice like thunder, drawing near

Where were you when I laid the earth

Can you command the morning's birth

I heard of You by hearing alone

But now my eyes have seen Your throne

No purpose Yours can be unmanned
