There are some words where rhymers won't go
And you ask me, how do I know?
Well, everyone knows
From their head to their toes
Conventional wisdom says so
There's nothing quite so sublime
As two words that form a fine rhyme
Despite being rare
Rhymes are always there
To claim otherwise should be a crime
Fools say you can't rhyme words like "orange"
But singers considered as "more fringe"
Know that you're able
It's on the table
If you open your mind like a "door hinge"
While some two—word rhymes can be made
A purist might claim they're afraid
That the word "orange"
Must rhyme with "sporange"
Or the rhyme scheme becomes a charade
Still others claim you can't rhyme "purple"
But, such people? Surely, they "hirple"
Halting, unaware
Of key words out there
Like a horse rump, known as a "curple"
Though my mom says there's no rhyming "silver"
I truly believe that I "will've 'er"
When I offer, "Ma'am
A female lamb
Is otherwise known as a "chilver"."
And my girl says there's no rhyming "angel"
If anything ends us, this "exchange'll"
When I respond, "Dear
Your mind needs to veer
If nothing else does you good, a "change'll"."
And that LED thing in a lamp?
Can't be rhymed, claim the fools in that camp
But a bright "white bulb"
Rhymes with a "lightbulb"
So once again, I'm the RHYME CHAMP!
So beware of the wise ones who chime
‘Bout the words that you can't ever rhyme
In any old "month"
A "hundred—and—oneth"
Percent tell a lie at that time
