I had a dream last night, you were there and you held my hand

I don't even know you, I'd like to see you again

Everything was perfect, although I'd never seen you before

I asked you to be my wife, with one knee on the floor

I've got to remember it was just a dream, and I don't know what that really means

'Cause you kissed me, and you held me so tight. I can't believe that this dream seemed to last all night

When I woke up this morning, I felt so ashamed

I couldn't even recall, your face or your name

I heard people say, you've got to follow your dreams

But where do I start? You don't even exist

So I guess I'll always be alone, and I'll never have you to call my own

I keep looking and I will try to find the one, but every time I think of you that dream has gone

I don't think I'll find anyone like you

My memory of you has gone

I've searched the world and seen millions of girls

But I don't think I'll ever find the one

So I've got to stop and get over this thing
