One sunny morning a couple of days later, she'd had enough
She was determined to go to Granny's
She was determined to go and experience
The world away from where she lived
She was determined to grow up
Her mum had packed all the necessary things ready
For Granny in a lovely wicker basket
But her mum was so busy doing lots of jobs around the house
That she wasn't keeping an eye on Red Riding Hood
Red Riding Hood spied her chance
She put on her red hood, took the basket
And tiptoed out of the house and onwards
She put on her red hood, took the basket
And tiptoed out of the house
And on towards Granny's house at the other side of the forest
She felt amazing as she skipped joyfully into the forest
Red Riding Hood had never visited her granny on her own before
She hadn't noticed all the trees of different sizes and colors
It was huge and beautiful to wander through
But as she danced into the forest, along the pathway
The tall trees began to get bigger and bigger
And they blocked all of the lovely warm rays from the sun
They stopped the light shining through too
And it suddenly became very dark and very cold
Red Riding Hood shivered
Not even her wonderful hood could keep her warm
I'm not going to give up and go home
Just because it's dark and it's cold, she said to herself
And as she walked further into the forest
She kept on saying the same thing
I'm not going to give up and go home
Just because it's dark and it's cold
I'm not, I'm not going to give up, I'm not going to go home
Just because it's dark and it's cold
To be honest with you
Red Riding Hood was a little bit scared
"I wonder if I've made a mistake trying to visit
Granny on my own", she said to herself
Is something the matter? Said a voice
Red Riding Hood was shocked
For she had not seen anyone around her
Who is that? She replied
It's me!
And from out of the bushes came a very tall, very strong looking wolf
He had very large ears, large eyes and very large pointy teeth
From his mouth gripped saliva
And he eyed Red Riding Hood up and down
Who are you? Red Riding Hood, asked
Guessing that he wanted to steal her basket
Which was full of goodies for Granny
I'm Mr. Wolf
It is an absolute pleasure to meet you
It's not often you see a young lady walking alone in the forest
And he continued to eye her up and down
And a pleasure to meet you, sir, she said respectfully
Guessing that this wolf could not possibly
Be the one her mother had warned her about
Oh, the pleasure will be all mine
