When She's With Me

Scared all the days go by

So damn quickly, but when she's with me

Laying down by my side

It's all I need to keep on turning

Round again, the road's ahead

But I know where to drive

Fingertips to this she says

She makes me feel alive

Work can drag me down

And leave me empty, but when she's with me

I throw my arms around

Her to hold and to lift me with her laughter

And I'll make her feel at ease

She speaks my mind and grabs my shoulders

It's in the way she breathes

Out of trouble

She takes me up to another place

With her embrace

She makes me feel alright

Reside the stage, but we can pace

When coffee turns to wine, whoo!

Call of the morning breeze

Opens up a sherry cloudburst

And as the sunlight bleeds

Through my curtains, I'm glad to have her
