I sit alone upon the daybreak
Past the stars, before the sun
Summer falls upon forgotten orchards
And the long forgotten moments yet to come
I wait as time unwinds to silence
Watching freedom grow from seed
The earth still turns outside my heartbeat
But I'm liquid and I'm skipping on the sea
In a dream, the pain of living
Where the more you give, the more you owe
Abating now with the grey uncertain time
When people left me one by one to stand alone
The cold mechanic landscape
Will freeze itself away
But not before I've handed in my see through mask
And get in beyond today
Like a child, I drink April
For all I leave behind is gone
And from the frozen wilderness of winter
A quiet mind returns to summer song
I wait as time unwinds to silence
Watching freedom grow from seed
The earth still turns outside my heartbeat
But I'm liquid and I'm skipping on the sea
I sit alone upon the daybreak
Past the stars, before the sun
Summer falls upon forgotten orchards
And the long forgotten moments yet to come
