Evolution

From one day to the next I just keep on finding my way

Every day seems better than the one from yesterday

But I always just feel doubt, a reminder of the pain

Its here with me stay

I've spent a lot of time being out of control

I'm the only one who can pull me down below

But ive changed a lot it seems, not who I used to be

Different reality

For so long all alone just hiding from the storm

What kept me really sad, was me myself and i

Not living up to who I really want to be

I feared to see, inside of me

And I see the man I've been, and the one I want to be

Now the time has come, my spirit can be free

And I know how life can quickly burn you on a dime

People you love, go up and die

But I keep on moving through along with all the pain

Every little scar that I've made along the way

I'm finding strength in what I used to push away

They weren't all a mistake

I always found myself in a state of fucking grieving

So then I could medicate my feelings

Keeping, myself confined, without no sign a light

But here I am, it's you and I

Don't let it take a hold you have to stay afloat

I know you may feel like there aint no more hope

It's hard to shed the past, but now is time to try

Can't let your fears define the man you are inside

And all the pent up rage that I had stored away

Locked up inside of me, it brought anxiety

But I just want you to know

You're not alone, I feel it too

I see the change and feel the weight lifting out of me

Now I stand up straight, on full display

The pain may never fade, but you rise everyday

You learn to embrace

And all the small defeats that take a hold

You push on through, and let em go

And every step you take, will help you find the way

Throughout this life, you gotta face
