In Our Time

Thinking of the days when I had time

Looking through the eyes which once were mine

Seems to me I never saw

All that's passed and gone before

Though it here around me seems to be the same

And I feel myself now I've been born again

Seems so very clear now I have seen

Though we take for granted many things

Like the seeds of yesterday

All around us seem to say

That the world we have is really very small

Though we see that in this place we are not all

Instead of dying

Dying before our time

Why are we looking

Looking for life?

If you took the time to see my way

You'd make the change my friend today

Though you have some things to hide

We're in all the same inside

I do believe that in our time our lives will change

And that all we leave behind still unexplained
