The evil one tried to do it again

As he set his trap to watch me fall in

But as he watched and hoped I would fall

The Lord helped me stand so very tall

So he wrapped his chains around my back

And then forcefully made his attack

But I saw him come in and move to the light

And broke those chains with all my might

But with the Lord I will pass each test

Because Christ the King can conquer all

So I'll tell the enemy with a loud voice

That Christ will always be the right choice

Every time I call on the Lord's name
