The night don't crack, it just bends

I walk where the wire snaps and the current ends

Shoulder aches with the weight of the maybe

Heartbeat stuck in a half-step waltz-unsteady

They said, Hush, let the silence stay fed

But silence breeds ghosts in the back of your head
