Model Man

I have learned there is no magic in

Attempting to chase fame

And the modern world is tragic because

Life's become a game

Where the only winning move is not to play

So I'm stumbling through another pointless day

So what else is there do when age is

Corrupting your face

If you found the fountain of youth would you

Throw it all away

So until that day don't judge me anymore

Until the Reapers knocking at your door

So if I'm out all night

Until the morning light

It's how I live my life

It's how I will survive

Don't tell me it ain't right

Because everyone is different in that

Everyone's the same

Nobody on earth is Abel

Nobody on earth is Cain

The only difference is how far we choose to lean

On the continuum of both of these extremes

Now nothing you say can hurt me

Cause I've learned that life ain't fair

I'm already pushing 30

Still cant bring myself to care

About starting a family or a career

I'm already in a spin too late to steer

So if I'm out all night

Until the morning light

It's how I live my life

It's how I will survive

I don't know if it's wrong or right

I won't wait

To watch my future pass me by

Seen through somebody else's eyes

I'm OK

I know that life will take it's time

So for right now I'm feeling fine

When I wake

Up in my bed I'm all alone

I wake up but one day I won't

On the way

To dying in my room alone

I face this future on my own

So when I wake up tomorrow

Let me be but 5 years old

I won't make the same mistakes I will do

Whatever I'm told

And in turn I will become a model man

But until then I'll be doing what I can
