I prayed for the pain to be over

I begged the night to turn to day

But in the I was guided

My soul was finding its way

Depression felt like drowning

Like fire through my skin

But every tear that touched the earth

Let the strength grow from within

This is the cocoon...

And the wings begin to bloom...

Fear came like a shadow

Panic like a scream

But even in the trembling

My soul began to breathe

The trees taught me patience

The sky taught me peace

And the fire didn't burn me

It set my spirit free

This is the cocoon...
