Sinner's Prayer

I've been running from Your light,

Chasing shadows in the night.

Every wrong turn, every scar,

Still You found me in the dark.

Broken pieces on the floor,

But You loved me even more.

Now I kneel where pride once stood,

Asking You to make me good.

I'm tired of fighting, tired of me,

Lord, take this heart and set it free.

This is my sinner's prayer,

Whispered from a soul laid bare.

If grace is real, then let it find,

The sinner who's been left behind.

You know my name, You know my shame,

Still You love me just the same.

I confessed what I tried to hide,

You washed away what I denied.

But You called me back where I belong.

Held my hand through my own decay.

You said, Child, you're still mine to keep,

And Your voice pulled me from the deep.
