BETTER ME

They say this life is what you make it

So think twice before you make a move

A second chance, should I take it

I'm praying hard that the Lord approve

Cause I done took a lot of losses

Yeah, I done took a lot of L's

I turned those L's into lessons

When you look at me, you probably couldn't tell

I made decisions that was wrong from the get-go

Huh, that's what it is, being young and dumb

Some situation taught me how to be tough, though

I thank God I never had to make bail

As I got older, I realized, man, this ain't the beat

I put my past in the past and dust off my feet

I know this life isn't always gonna be sweet

The Lord showed me how to pick myself up off the flow

Yeah, these battles in your life, they come and go

But stand tall like a wall, and never fold

Everybody wanna show off their lifestyle

But it never fully let you in

Nobody's perfect in this world, I'll tell you right now

Look, we all battle with sin

A rollercoaster lifestyle full of ups and downs

But it's really up to you of how it plays out

Through it all, I try my best to stay away from clowns
