Somewhere outside
A voice in the distance
Is calling goodbye to her child
A truck driver stops
A hitchhiker hears the words
"Hop inside"
And I wake to find
A bright sun on my sheets
And stretch out to look at the time
And once again
It comes over me
The feeling that I am free
And I see all that I can be
And my life belongs to me
Once again
Now breakfast is served in the morning room
And flowers are cut for the day
And once again
It comes over me
The feeling that I am free
And I see all that I can be
And my life belongs to me
Once again
And somewhere inside
A voice proclaims "Yes you could"
Stirring around, waking up
Something inside
That I thought had turned to wood
Could it be I feel good?
Now I throw a towel 'cross the mirror
Too dull
The porcelain blinding my eyes
And once again
It comes over me
The feeling that I am free
And I see all that I can be
And my life belongs to me
Once again
