The afternoon sun shines on my bed
I've been asleep too long
I ask to the captain of my head
Where did it all go wrong
He follows the map but its upside down
He's taking a nap while the passengers drown
I'm rowing a lifeboat back to shore
Rationing water and bread
And those who remain read the reports
And tally the names of the dead
We toast to the names of the ones we lost
At least the ones we haven't already forgot
