Okay midnight don't be weird

I'm staying home again

My sweater's way too big.

Writing tiny resolutions

On a napkin by my fridge.

I told myself I'd change

Yeah maybe just a bit

But first I'll watch the stars outside

While fairy lights stay lit.

I mean baby steps right?

And all the quiet thoughts I kept

Are floating through the room

I fold them into paper dreams

And hope they'll bloom

I make a cup of cocoa
