Outside In The Rain

Well i tried to catch your eye,

Your eyes move from side to side,

And I can't help wonder why,

It ain't me standin' there by your side.

River's deep and mountain's high,

I can't swim and I don't like hikes,

Though I'm scared to death of heights,

I'd parachute if I could land on top of you .

I've got this bif ol' hole in my shoe,

From climbin' the stairs up to you,

Now the water's seepin' through,

And I'm still outside in the rain.

Seems I think of you all day,

And I practice what to say,

When the right time comes around,

I move my lips

But I never make a sound.
