Little Red Riding Hood
Little Red Riding Hood was called that
Because she wore a long red hood
Which could also be used for riding
It was what she always wore
And so everyone who knew her just called her
Little Red Riding Hood
She didn't mind being called after her hood
It was her favorite and she loved it dearly
What she did not love dearly was being called "Little"
"I hate being called Little" she would say rather crossly
I'm a young lady now and I'm not little anymore
It was true what she said
She wasn't that little anymore
But her friends and family still called her
And treated her as if she was little
For example they would say things like
"Oh Little Red Riding Hood is it time for the beddy-boo-boo land"
Or "Little Red Riding Hood is it time to go to the toilet and go pluppy, pluppy"
Now to avoid any argument in our story, we should just call her
Red riding hood that is what she prefer to be called
And after all, the story is about her
Red Riding Hood was very clever
She was independent and she taught herself taekwondo (haiya!)
Which she excelled in
In fact she was as fast as lightening at it
Anyway, Red Riding Hood had a granny who lived far out in the forest
Some way away from her
Her granny was old and frail and was not in the best of health
Red riding hood's mum was always off to granny's house
With some food and drinks and all sort of medicines for her
Red riding hood had a heart of gold and was always working hard
She always loved to help her mum at home
She felt sorry for her mother because she had so many jobs to do
Red riding hood liked to help her mother look after their home
So she would happily help with the washing up
Cooking of dinner, cleaning of the house
Which meant her mum could go and visit her granny everyday
As much as she loved her mum
She didn't want to be stuck in the home all day
Doing house work when she got older
