The Reason

I searched but couldn't find real love

Led me down a long dark road

Looking for something to fill me up

I found that nothing was enough

So I stopped searching, I gave up

And looked for ways to go numb

Addiction was my story

Depression was my lot

On my way to an early grave

I've found freedom

I was rescued by the love

That I was seeking

Now I know my life has meaning

Led me to alcohol and drugs

I turned to money a big house and fancy cars

Chased success and looked the part

But couldn't buy a healthy heart

Prison was my story

Anxiety was my lot

On my way to an early grave
