Eldritch

I lay beneath a sky that twists and turns,

Whispers crawling through my veins, they burn.

The sand beneath me shifts like breathing skin,

A knowledge buried deep, now pulled within.

Shadows stretch where light should be,

I see the void-it's staring back at me.

A name unspoken, carved into my mind,

I close my eyes, but it's there each time.

Eldritch dreams, they call my name,

I see the stars, but they're not the same.

Something watches, something waits,

A truth too heavy, a twisting fate.

The fire flickers, bending in the night,

Lost in echoes, drowning in the sight.

I knew the answer, but now it's gone,

Left with echoes of a broken song.
