Dr. Jekyll

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

In a faraway place, called Halloween Town

Where all of the monsters and ghoulies are found

There lived a young boy with buck teeth and freckles

He was known to his friends, as the good Dr. Jekyll

Though he knew all the monsters and had many friends

He didn't think he was fun or scary like them

But then, late one night, as the doc lay in bed

A fantastic idea popped into his head

"I know what I'll do", said the doc with emotion

I'll mix up a mystical, most magical potion

To make me more fun and less of a bore

Then, the monsters will like me a whole lot more

So the young doc got working

And with a great flash of lightning

He mixed up a mixture that would make him exciting

And when it was done, he gave it a taste

And the funniest feeling spread over his face

His buck teeth and freckles, they started to fade

As Jekyll's whole body rippled and changed

When he turned to the mirror

He saw in his place, a terrible monster, with a familiar face

"It worked!" Laughed the doctor

This creature is me!

And much more interesting than old Jekyll could be

For way too long, he's been hidden inside

If I was Dr. Jekyll, now I'm Mr. Hyde

Then Mr. Hyde cackled and clapped with his hands

And by the time midnight struck

He'd come up with a plan

I'll throw a big party

Then, my friends will all see

Just how exciting this new me can be

So, the doc sent out invites all over town

To the scariest monsters and ghoulies around

But on the night of the party, when the guests all arrived

They found themselves greeted by this strange Mr. Hyde

"Hello", said the ghost

I don't think we've met

But I've been around for so long, I sometimes forget

We have a friend just like you, but with buck teeth and freckles

Do you happen to know him, this good Dr. Jekyll?

"Jekyll"? Laughed Hyde
