In the stillness where shadows breathe
Echoes hum beneath the leaves
Moonlight trembles on the stone
Every breath a seed once sown
He was spirit he was dust
He walked with rhythm moved with trust
But one day he stayed
Tried to shape the wild his way
Nature opened her gentle hand
He drew a line across her land
Carved his will upon her skin
The original sin
Called it progress named it peace
But in his grasp the pulse would cease
Now green deserts hum like drones
Forests gone their ghosts of tones
No bird no worm no call no cry
Just painted fields beneath a dying sky
The soil still breathes but weak restrained
The rhythm muted life unchained
Life was never pure or still
It moved with storm with wound with will
It grew in rot in pain in birth
The sacred madness of the Earth
But man desired a perfect seed
And in perfection planted greed
Nature opened her gentle hand
He claimed the sky he scarred the sand
He silenced thunder dulled the flame
The original shame
Called it progress named it peace
But in his touch the truth would cease
The Earth won't fade she bends she breaks
She breathes through all that man forsakes
The only truth that can survive
Is the one that never had to strive
And it vanished
The day he chose to stay
