Genesis 13-16: Dust and Stars (Abram and Lot Separate)

Out in the wild where the faithful roam,

God still leads when you leave your home

From dust below to stars above,

He writes our name in covenant love

He said, "Look to the land, every grain is yours"

So I stood on the ridge, countin' distant shores

Me and Lot had herds too big to share

So I let him choose — said, "The Lord is fair"

He took the green, I took the call

Built my altar on a canyon wall

I ain't need cities or Sodom's gold

I got a promise time can't hold

Sarai cried in the silent tent

Each year passed, but no baby sent

I felt her ache with every sigh

Every month a question, every tear a why

We tried to rush what God delays

Gave her Hagar to shift His ways

But pain don't bend to a shortcut plan

And now we carry what pride began

From dust we rise, to stars we reach

Faith don't fit in what you preach

It breaks you down to build you whole

To test your fire, refine your soul

We carry both, we carry scars…

He sees the pain behind the eyes

He still redeems what man denies

Alone, pregnant, torn apart

But God showed up where the wind had blown

I tried to fix what only God could heal

Tried to force what only time reveals

And trust His voice to plant the land

"You will have a son, and your name will change… from father to nations… not just your range."

From dust we rise, to stars we reach

Not by sight, but by belief

Every tear, every delay

He turns to covenant one day

He names the child, He heals the scars

From desert cries to skyward flames

He still writes grace into our names
