My skin, so fragile

Laying burnt on the floor

Heat has dried up my insides

I can't take this anymore

So hard to leave sometimes

My heart never learns

I guess this didn't hurt enough

Even though I got burned

I had to touch to fight

To know for sure that it burns

But she told me I'm worth so much more than this temporary hurt
