Dracula
One dark evening in a little town
Kids wore costumes and made scary sounds
It was Halloween, trick or treat
The best time to guzzle up sweets
One of these kids was called Dracula
But his outfit wasn't too spectacular
Just a white shirt and red waistcoat
And a long black bat-shaped cloak
Dracula met his pals in the street
Bob was a ghost wearing a white sheet
Boo! He wooed and looked so scary
So did Mina, whose mask was hairy
A werewolf growled
That was Faye
Her werewolf's claws were sharp and grey
Zombie Stan wiggled his green head
Dracula, where's your costume? He said
You see, these were the same clothes their friend Dracula always chose
He wore them every day to school and even to the swimming pool
Now, vampires always look like that
Dracula could even turn into a bat
He was a real vampire with a cape
But everyone always thought it was fake
I'm a vampire, Dracula said
But everyone giggled instead
You always say that, they said
It's true he said, hanging his head
Let's find some yummy sweets, said Faye
They knocked at Mrs. Lear's on the way
She opened the door at number ten
Trick or treat, they all shouted then
Dracula decided he could prove it
If I wasn't a vampire, would I do this?
He bared his white fangs at Mrs. Lear
Adorable, she said
Very scary, dear
Mina laughed
He thinks they're real
Dracula said
I'm the real deal
Of course you are, said Mrs. Lear
Help yourself to a toffee, dear
With bags full of sticky sweets already
They knocked at old Mr. McCready's
Trick-or-treat
They all shouted Stan grr! and Mina pouted
Dracula knew he could prove it
If I wasn't a vampire, would I do this?
He stood in front of a mirror in the hall
But no reflection could be seen at all
Of course you're a vamp, said Mr. McCready's
He laughed and said, one who's greedy
He gave them gummy worms and eels
But nobody believed Dracula was real
The friends left with candy to share
Bob said, cool trick mirror back there
It's not a trick, Dracula said
Bob laughed, sure and shook his head
Finally, at Mrs. May's house, Dracula proved it
If I wasn't a vampire, would I do this?
When they shouted, trick or treat
He turned into a huge bat and screeched
Mrs. May nearly fainted at the door
His friends' jaws dropped to the floor
They all said "Wow, a vampire, it's true"
I told you so, said Dracula as he flapped and flew
Dracula's pals never doubted him again
They knew he was a real vamp then
Your clothes are the coolest, said Fay
Halloween was Dracula's favorite day
