Where The Light Falls

The light was falling through the trees

Soft on everything I knew

No direction in my feet

Just a feeling pulling me through

The air was warm, the day was wide

No reason left to run or hide

I didn't ask for something new

I just let the moment move

I don't need to name the sky

Or tell the stars what they should do

I'm learning how to let things be

And see myself come through

If the road keeps changing shape

I won't try to make it stay

I'll walk on where the light falls

And let it lead the way

I've been holding on to words

That never needed sound

Some truths live in silence

Where they don't have to be found

I've watched the day lean into night

Like it was learning how to rest
