Under Her Wing

I wandered the edge of the midnight storm

Ashes in my lungs, shadows taking form

Whispers curled in the corners of the sky

I saw her wings, and I didn't ask why

She fell like thunder wrapped in silk and flame

Spoke in riddles, never gave her name

Eyes like embers, voice a siren's sting

She said, "Come closer girl, I'll teach you how to sing..."

Under her wing, I lost my name

Fell through the cracks of fortune and flame

She kissed my soul, pulled me through fire

Now I burn with a different kind of desire

She's the silence in the scream

The shadow in my dream

Under her wing

Nothing is what it seems

Took my heartbeat, made it part of hers

Broke my past with a whisper, not words

She dances on bones of kings and thieves

Laughing as the holy start to grieve

Taught me magic with a blade and grin

Every lesson burned beneath my skin

I begged for mercy, she just grinned wide

Storm rising

Wings unfolding

Chains breaking

Stars imploding

"I was the fool with heaven in my hands
