Drawn to this darkness

Pulled in and bound

A cosmic attraction

Of riddles and sound

Try to think clearly

Through its gripping spell

Lost to this madness

Lost beyond help

Gravity mocks those who dare to defy

It spits in the face of those who wish to fly

But unlock its secrets

Unlock a new high

I just need to see through reality's lies

What is that melody? (Haunted)

A thirst for blood and grief (Wanted)

What is this song, this song of commands?

It's getting out of hand

The world's out of time

But it doesn't know

I will step in and be its metronome

Plenty to fix

But the lines in the sand

Must be toed over if I'm to stand a chance

Experimental successes are rare

The barrier holds strong

But other answers aren't there

I know I'm onto something, I swear

Like Atlas, I'm burdened

But this pain I'll bear

What is that melody? (And how can it be harnessed?)

It blurs reality (Oh, my perception's tarnished)

It is the only way to fully understand

This melody, it's wish is my command

Can hardly conceive what it's trying to show

But through all my work, I feel I'm not alone

Ensnared and wrapped up in this siren's trance

Leaving me trapped in this twisted dance

It leers, and it scoffs when things start to align

Functioning flux

But this writing's not mine

Hyperspheres spinning as things go awry

I can't hear my thoughts

Oh, but I have to try

Equations give no levity (No insight to my pain)

Pulled in by a black hole, lined with sound

Cross the line, and I'll never be found

The freedom I want
