I've been living for people my whole life

Living for what they want instead of living for right

Following blind sheep instead of

opening eyes

No longer blind

Praise God I think I see

Letting go of an us and finding out who is me

And finding a good we

And building something in peace

No more living in fear

No more living in stress

Taking a deep breath and trusting God with the rest

I've been looking for God my whole life

Raised up in church, not raised up in Christ

Raised in dogma, not raised up with life

Now I'm having to fight for peace that never left

Now I'm having to learn that

God is in my breath

That Christ is everything, and everything is a mess

And everything's getting healed

and everything's getting blessed, so I can just learn to rest in love and try my best

I'm hardly reading my bible

There's too much dead weight, but I never stop praying or increasing my faith

God never left, he just changed shape

And got a lot bigger, I see him every day

I see him in my wife

I see him in my pain

I see him in my loss

I see him in my gain
