Goldilocks decided
She now needed to sit down to rest her tired feet
She wasn't used to walking around
Because her parents would drive her everywhere
Even to school, which was just around the corner
She spied three wooden chairs in the lounge, all facing the fireplace
"They don't look very comfy," she sighed
But when you really want to sit down and rest your weary feet
Anything is better than nothing
"Biggest is best," she said to no one but herself
And so she sat on the biggest chair
"Ooh" she said, "This chair is far too hard"
So, she tried the second-largest chair
"Ooh, this one's far too soft"
How rude of these people not to have nice comfy chairs for me to sit on
So she tried the third chair
"Ooh, this one's just right, lovely and comfortable"
And she leant back, but as she did, the wooden back snapped
And she fell off onto the floor
"Really? How insulting, I'm so glad no one was here to see that happen"
She got herself up off the floor, she began to cry
She always did like to have a good cry, and when she cried
She would always expect someone to come and tell her something like
"Hey there, Goldilocks, everything will be fine"
But there was no one else there, so she did the next best thing
And decided to go and find a bed to sleep in
Bed was the best place to feel better for Goldilocks
Soon it would be warm and cozy and she would feel much better
Goldilocks walked up the stairs and saw that there were three beds
They all looked a bit old, a bit shabby, and a bit messy
"Ooh," she said to herself
"These beds look awful, nothing like my gorgeous bed at home"
But she was tired, and when people are tired
They can sleep in places that they can't normally sleep
"Biggest is best" she declared as she jumped onto the largest bed
"Ooh," she said, "This one's far too hard, I can't sleep on there"
She tried the second bed
"Ooh no, this one's far too soft," and so she tried the smallest bed
