Curtains part for golden beauty

But the silence steals it all

And every street is looking like a movie

But they forgot to cast my love

Autumn leaves a pretty sight but brings no warmth tonight

But she would do if I laid beside her

Her scarf still hanging from the armchair

With whiffs of wine and smoke

Invites a foolish hope

Reminds me of her hair and has me thinking out loud

I'm wondering where she's at and what she's up to right now

While autumn leaves still show up at my door like her before

I'd trade them all to feel her fire
