The Shepherd's Silent Night

One night as I was tending to my sheep

Something happened that made me weep

An angel came down from the sky

And delivered a message of the Lord on high

He said I should leave and fear no danger

As I would find him lying in a manger

And that Christ the Lord, the newborn King

Would be born in this world as the angels sing

I felt energy running through my toes

When he said I'd find him wrapped in swaddling clothes

So with haste I ran as if I had wings

To find the newborn King of Kings

I'm not sure what I did to deserve this night

And to behold such an amazing sight

To see Christ the Lord descend from his throne above

To show the world endless mercy and love
