I didn't grow up in the dark

I always knew You were the light

You never really seemed that far

But I knew something wasn't quite

As it seemed

There may be doubts

There may be worries

Wonder if You're about

Or are these just stories

But as I press on

And I keep working

I count this battle won

And so rewarding

I always sought to learn the truth

No matter what that meant to others

Some say the truth is up to you

But I knew I had a lot to discover

About You

It may seem untoward

Or mysterious

But as I seek the Lord

He gives experience

The God I once knew

Certainly isn't You

But You are so much more

Than what I thought before

Many disagree

But that's okay with me

Cause I know they'll come to know

Who You are, Lord

Here's my hands and feet

I give it all to Thee

It's Your will to be fulfilled

And I'm onboard

Oh, I'm onboard

At first it's crazy

Or illogical

But then one comes to see

How it's truly whole

And the Spirit grows

And all of heaven knows

That when push comes to shove

It's all up to God's love

This mighty God is on my side

Oh, I kneel at His sandals

He says the hardest things in life

I'm not expected to handle

On my own

And it's still crazy

And incredible

That this amazing God

Says I'm exceptional

For all my searching

And all my yearning

My Father's shared with me

His own victory

Many disagree

But that's okay with me

Cause I know they'll come to know
