The Newborn Prince of Peace

I still see my dream like it was yesterday

When the angel said my life would change every way

And not to be afraid to take Mary as my wife

Because I would help her usher in this precious life

So I arose from the bed to be a new man

And be there for Mary in each way that I can

It won't be easy and I know some won't understand

But I know I'll be helped by the Lord's mighty hand

For He is called Wonderful and Counselor

The Mighty God, Prince of Peace

And the Everlasting Father

He came into the world in a humble beginning

And is right by our side through the very last inning

So like Joseph did on that long ago night

We can let Him in our life to obtain our sight

There's nothing He'll ask that can't be done

If we arise from the dust to greet God's Son

For He is called Wonderful and Counselor
